1. Overview

This Privacy Policy explains what information DPE Connect collects, how we use it, and the choices available to you. It applies to the DPE Connect website and to the accounts, listings, requests, and reviews made through it.

2. Information you provide

• Account information: your name, email address, and authentication details.
• Examiner listing information: name, airport, city and state, FSDO, checkride authorizations, aircraft, fee, experience, bio, and contact email.
• Scheduling request information: your name, email address, telephone number, aircraft tail number, requested checkride type, and any notes you add.
• Review information: scores, checkride details, fee and wait time, and the written account you submit, along with the display name you choose.
• Correspondence: messages you send to us, such as support or policy questions.

3. Information collected automatically

We collect limited technical information needed to operate and secure the Service, such as log records, device and browser type, and the pages requested. We use essential cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in and to remember your settings. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party behavioral tracking.

4. How we use information

• To create and administer accounts and to display examiner listings and reviews.
• To deliver scheduling requests to the examiner you select and to show you the status of your requests.
• To operate membership access and confirm payment status.
• To maintain the security and integrity of the Service, prevent abuse, and enforce our Terms.
• To respond to your questions and to send service, security, and account notices.

5. When we share information

• With examiners: when you submit a scheduling request, the details you provide are shared with that examiner so they can respond.
• With our payment processor: Base44 Payments handles subscription billing. We do not receive or store your full card details.
• With service providers who support hosting, storage, and communications, under obligations to protect the information.
• When required by law or legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of users or of DPE Connect.
• In connection with a merger, acquisition, or transfer of assets, subject to this Policy.

We do not sell your personal information.

6. Public content

Examiner listings are public, including the contact email an examiner chooses to publish. Reviews are public, together with the display name you enter and the checkride details you submit.

Please do not include sensitive information in a listing or review, such as certificate numbers, medical details, home addresses, or the personal contact details of another person.

7. Payments

Subscriptions are processed by Base44 Payments. Payment card data is entered on and handled by the payment provider; DPE Connect receives only the information needed to confirm that a subscription is active, such as status, amount, and a subscription identifier.

8. Retention

We retain account, listing, request, review, and transaction records for as long as your account is active and afterwards as needed to comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Reviews may remain available after an account is closed, generally without your account identity attached.

9. Security

We use administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect information, including encrypted transport, access controls, and restricted administrative access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Your choices and rights

• You can review and update your listing and account details from your dashboard.
• You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and you can ask us to close your account.
• You can opt out of non-essential email using the unsubscribe link in those messages; account and billing notices will still be sent.
• Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights, including the right to appeal a decision or to designate an authorized agent.

To exercise these choices, contact our support address. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

11. Children

The Service is intended for adults and is not directed to anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us and we will delete it.

12. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes take effect when posted with a revised date, and where appropriate we will provide additional notice.
